Lahore: Crackdown on underage drivers, 480 bikes seized

Lahore: The City Traffic Police on Sunday launched a crackdown on underage bike and automotive drivers, and seized 480 bikes, ARY News reported. 

The City Traffic Police seized a complete of 480 motorbikes in a number of police stations for overspeeding, one-wheeling and zig-zagging. Moreover, a complete of 1862 drivers had been issued challans for not driving responsibly.

According to particulars, Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Muntqazir Mehdi has stated that motorbikes are injured in 80 % of street accidents. Parents ought to behave responsibly in the direction of their kids and never their underage kids experience bikes, he added.

He added that folks can have fun independence day with out inflicting hurt to anybody else. The seized bike can be launched tomorrow, the CTO stated.

Earlier, Punjab Police introduced to take strict motion towards folks inflicting disruption of peace, indulging in one-wheeling, or using silencer-less bikes on Independence day.

According to particulars, the Deputy Inspector General of Operations ordered to take strict motion towards anybody inflicting disruption of peace on the 75th Independence Day of the nation.
