COVID-19’s existing situation in Pakistan

It seems that it’s also the test of our leadership amid the COVID-19's existing situation in Pakistan. Now, let’s see what is more important for them. Either the lives of their people or politics.

National command operation centre (NCOC) has warned that carelessness may worsen the COVID-19’s existing situation as the advent of 2nd awful wave is expected in upcoming winter or some health professionalist contend that maybe we are already suffering from  2nd wave.

As per today, the new cases of COVID-19 emerged in Pakistan are 1078 which shows that a rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases may take place soon. An incline in infected patients has been observed amid the arrival of the winter season in Pakistan. Until now, the death rate in all provinces of Pakistan has crossed the digit of 6000.

According to NCOC, the recovered patient’s rate in Pakistan is 308674. In Pakistan, 26670 tests were taken in the previous 24 hours. Until now, 4148739 tests have been conducted in Pakistan.

The burgeoning rate is now a threat to the imposition of lockdown once again, this may dreadfully affect the economy and educational system of our country.

Many of the educational institutions are again closed as the risk can’t be taken against the lives of children as it’s more difficult to convince the school going kids to follow SOPs. However, institutes such as Agriculture University Faisalabad and GC University Faisalabad have been closed and many more

The federal minister and the chairman of NCOC Asad Umar said that the ignorance of SOPs against coronavirus is a collective mistake. Categorically, its consequences are visible in the form of an increasing death rate.

In an interview with health professionalist, Dr.Faisal Sultan said that the percentage of positivity is 2.67%. In a nutshell, the situation of COVID-19 is not as controlled or fine as it was 4-5 weeks back.

The reason behind this severity is the irresponsible behaviour of the public as they have the perception that now the pandemic is about to end. Moreover, we are in a misconception that we successfully defeated novel corona and now it’s gone from Pakistan. But it’s not the right time to declare victory. For instance, we can see that the rate is increased in other countries like Europe and Iran. In many countries after the downfall, the rate raised again.

There is no need to take it easy or complacency until or unless it vanishes worldwide. Our facts and figures clarify that COVID-19’s existing situation in Pakistanis not good but fatal. If we are violating the SOPs such as not wearing masks and continue going to crowded places then this pandemic will keep on increasing and we all will be solely responsible for this.

Ignorance of SOPs

Let’s talk about the processions of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on the 16th of  October. The gathering of such a crowd was a great failure to follow the SOPs.These are the people who were in the favour of lockdown now they are doing the blunders.

It seems that it’s also the test of our leadership amid the COVID-19’s existing situation in Pakistan. Now, let’s see what is more important for them. Either the lives of their people or politics. As we all successfully fought against the 1st wave we must keep in mind that we can defeat the 2nd wave in a precautions manner if we keep following the SOPs. However, the increased ignorance of essential SOPs may lead to increased risk.
