More than 80,000 new patients with coronavirus infections were reported in the most recent Covid-19 surge in the US- the highest number of cases per day since the outbreak began.
Meanwhile, there are some alarming patterns of Covid-19 surge are observed, including a growing number of hospitals and daily deaths across the country. Experts warned the nation that the worst is yet to come.
According to the data shared by Johns Hopkins University, the recent number of 80,005 is higher than the country’s previous number of Covid-19 cases reported in one-day i.e. 77,362.
Dr Jerome Adams, US Surgeon General, warned that the occurrence of hospital admissions are reported in 75% of the country’s jurisdiction, and officials are concerned that the death toll could rise in a few weeks.
The good news, Adams said, is that a number of factors including remediation, steroid use and better patient management have led to a nearly 85% reduction in the country’s Covid-19 mortality rate.

Anthony Fauci’s concerns
Dr. Anthony Fauci says the US should probably mandate mask use, even if people complain about the trouble with enforcing it.
“If people are not wearing masks, then maybe we should be mandating it,” says Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert. https://t.co/CAJYWWLuJw pic.twitter.com/B6IF8SJvSn

The country’s leading infectious disease specialist, Dr Anthony Fauci showed his concerns about the massive increase in Covid-19 across the country. He urged people to “double down” on measures to stop the spread of the virus.
“The upticks on the map of more than 30 States that are having upticks is not going to spontaneously turn around unless we do something about it,” Dr Fauci added.
