Constance Marten and Mark Gordon, a couple who had gone missing with their newborn baby, were found and arrested in Brighton on Monday evening. The infant, however, is still missing and police are conducting an urgent search operation.
The couple had disappeared on 5 January after their car broke down on the M61 near Bolton. At the time, the baby was thought to be only days old. They were located after a member of the public reported a sighting in the Stanmer Villas area.
The Metropolitan Police have urged anyone with information about the baby’s whereabouts to come forward. They have also asked anyone who may have seen the couple in the days leading up to their arrest to contact them.
