The Deadpool star took to Instagram on Saturday, October 16, to share he is taking a break from performing after wrapping Spirited, his upcoming film with Will Ferrell. Sharing a nonetheless from the venture, Reynolds wrote, “That’s a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago. Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer…Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making.” 

He added that he’s going to “miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists” and that this specific group is “flush with both” expertise and kindness. 

Many followers applauded the sentiment of the submit, with co-star Octavia Spencer writing, “You’re an amazing actor/singer and producer. I had a blast working with you, Will, and this outstanding cast and crew! Enjoy your downtime.”

Lively, nevertheless, commented, “Michael Caine did it first,” a reference to the Dark Knight star revealing he, too, was probably going to take a step again from performing simply earlier that day. (Like Reynolds, nevertheless, Caine careworn that this was not a retirement.)
